FAQ

What happens in case of bad weather?

Stargazing under the rain is no fun. To make sure this doesn’t happen, we will email you at 3 pm on the day of the tour if we need to cancel.

In the case of cancellation due to overcast skies, we will give you 2 options:

  1. Choose to receive a gift voucher / credit transferable to other people valid for 3 years valid in Jervis Bay or the Blue Mountains.

  2. Choose to receive a refund (5% serviceand merchant fees non-refundable). Refunds are not available if you have transferred your booking from the Blue Mountains.

Can I book a specific date?

Contact us to request a date that suits you and we will try our best to accomodate you. We may run tours outside our scheduled tours, however, we need a minimum of 4 participants.

How old must my child be to join the tour?

The tour is designed to suit children who are 6 years old and above.

No astronomy knowledge is required.

What is the best time to join a tour?

The Earth orbits around the Sun in 12 months. As a consequence, the landscape of our starry nights changes a lot throughout the year!

At times you will see the Moon, other times the Milky Way, Mars could be up there, or Saturn, or Jupiter, or Orion. It’s all season dependent.

Here are some pointers: if you like the Moon, come up a night of gibbous night (a few days before or after the Full Moon). If you like the Milky Way, come on a New Moon or when the Moon is set. If you’re unsure, nights with a thin Moon crescent are the best.

If there’s a specific planet or constellation you’d like to see in particular, shoot us an email and we’ll reply to you with a suitable time window to see that object.

How do I redeem my Gift Voucher?

Someone offered you the best gift, you must be awesome, we look forward to meeting you under the stars.

It’s easy to redeem your Gift Voucher:

  1. Pick your date on the calendar

  2. Copy and paste the gift voucher code at checkout
